The Captains House is a landmark waterfront property in Chester, built in the early 1800s by the settler, Rev. John Secomb. The historic seaside village of Chester is the jewel of Nova Scotia's south shore, with 180 degree views of Mahone Bay and its many islands. This stately, three storey home was later bought by retired Captain James Allen. For much of the 20th century, the Captain's House was well known as a restaurant and inn. Currently, the redecorated house is available as your home away from home, while touring this stunning region of the Atlantic coastline. Perfect for weddings and corporate conferences. 902 277-1005 |

A very special place at the end of a little spur of Second Peninsula. The owners love sharing it with guests who come to Nova Scotia for family vacations. But in addition to appealing to families who want a seaside retreat away from the hustle and bustle, we also seem to appeal to the romantic streak in couples, and so we find ourselves happily hosting weddings and other events. |
